My 15 year old and I have caught the multi-rotor bug…OK, it’s mostly my new obsession. It started with some Syma quads (an X-1 and X5c) we got just after Christmas. We are not new to RC, with a dozen or more cars & trucks, a handful of small helis strewn about the basement and a Blade mQX hiding around here somewhere.
Thanks to Bartman’s group build thread from last year, I slowly pieced together an F450 over the last month and today was the maiden flight. It’s somewhat of a budget build just to get my feet wet. It didn’t flip over or shake itself to pieces, but it wasn't in the air more than maybe 10 minutes, due to the cold weather. I’ll post the (uneventful & boring) video link in the F450 build thread.
