Gimbal Setup for DJI WKM

Hi Guys,

My gear for AP business are Cinestar 8 & Cinestar Gimbal with DJI WKM, It flied and quite stable however I notice that it still has alot of wobble movement when I change the fly direction and therefore impact the video quality.

I understand that such wobble is due to the gimbal set up (my gimbal is now controlled via MC of WKM).

I want to try Picloc 3x and will order it however due to its scarity I would like to ask for your experience on:

1/ how you fine tune your gimbal set up with DJI WKM
2/ Have you got any solution other than DJI WKM and Picloc 3x to stablize the gimbal.

Looking forward to hearing from all of you guys.

Cheers,

Cuong

with regards to gimbal stabilization with WKM, I think you are out of luck. Many have reported it to be quite useless the same as the one on ACE1...

However, there are still several options you can do to improve your gimbal stabilization:

1. Best performance seems to be PICLOC3X PRO, however the developer says a new version is coming out thus results in no production of the current unit hense the scarcity.
2. Hoverfly Gimbal Control, due May as I have been told and could be setup to work with any kind of gimbal, however no demo video spotted anywhere.
3. I believe Mr.GGoodrum on the forum is using XAircraft FC1212-S (V1) control board as gimbal stabilization, it does the job but it isn't perfect, because it is AHRS head lock gyros thus it will not work with continuous rotation servos unless with a external potentiometer.
4. Mr.GGoodrum is working on their own stabilization unit which I don't know if it will work with cinestar.
5. Isn't cinestar coming with their own system?

In the same problem as you currently, so I figured I might share what I know now :)
