Gimbal servo alignment?

Just finished building a Jakub 2 axis Gimble for my Dji 450.It's says you have to Align the servos so they are straight before you set it up with the Naza. How do you do the pre servo alignment? Do you do it with the radio or the Naza?

I think you have to disconnect the linkages and put power to the servos. The servos will then set themselves to their center point, then you can readjust your linkages and fine tune it in naza assist.
