F550 crash/Tarot 680 build questions

Unfortunately today after a year of saving and building I crashed my DJI F550 into a swamp. I had spent all winter flying smaller cheaper quads and took a lot of time really getting familiar with the F550 before taking it out for some nature photos and have had some great flights with no problems. Not sure exactly what happened, today, I had a strong gust of wind come through, so I throttled up to give me time to gain control and she just slid sideways right into the water about 50 yards out. My first guess is a bad battery as it seemed as though it just couldn't climb. Anyhow I managed to save the naza v2 and my receiver after a good dry out, killed the esc motors my tarot gimbal and my gopro. When it crashed I ran into the swamp like it was my 11 year old out there drowning, The bright side is Ive been toying with upgrading the frame and the motors to a Tarot 680 and some sunnyskys so I can carry a larger camera "im an amateur photographer" I do need advice however I was looking into getting a set of sunnysky 380kv or 480kv x4108 and pairing them with hobbywing 40amp escs from hobbyking. Im not sure about props looking fro suggestions and batteries I currently have 3 new 4000mah 3s packs I just bought. any Advice would be very appreciated. If anyone thinks they cold save to old dji motors Id give them away, just let me know.

just an observation but I think the 480 kv motors will do better with the 3S packs. usually with 3S packs you'd see higher kv's, like 800 to 1000.

make a list of the components that you think you'll want to use and add up all of the weights that each will add to the build. try to account for everything and then divide that total weight by the number of motors you're using. that's the weight each motor will have to support in a hover.

use performance charts from the motor manufacturers and find a combination of weight/performance that will leave you hovering around 55%.
