Newbie pilot & new forum member, using an inexpensive quadcopter to learn to fly; found a lightly used HolyStone HS200D with extras for a fair price. I was doing fine flying at home in a constricted area, then went to a park for wide open space, which should have been safe. Even so, I hung up in a tree about 15 feet up, a rescuer jarred it loose, and down it came into a tiny clear creek. Out of water in 30 seconds, lights still flashing. Rescuer advised pull the battery immediately, dry it out for a day or two, which I did. Quad now powers up and flies normally, except low battery lights (using spare batteries, not the dunked one) begin after 3-4 minutes (expect 3x that normally). Motors seem to spin ok, but maybe not quite perfect - thus extra battery drain. But I'm not yet a good judge of that yet.
Is it toast? Total new price is $100. Just buy another? Any thoughts?
Thanks for any advice.
