Do you lose calibration over time?

If I let my helis sit and gather dust for a year is there any first hand experience of losing calibration? Or is there any benefit to occasionally re-calibrating just to keep things "tuned" up? Maybe this is a dumb question.

My Naza V1 with 2.xx something firmware slowly lost calibration and I had to use quite a lot of trim in ATTI mode. Now switched to 3.16 FW which allows sensor calibration and the problem was solved (Also disconnected the GPS module since I've lost all confidence in DJI's GPS functions :livid:)

I had some calibration drifting issues with yaw and aileron with a NAZA that I used to own...... thought it was the RC xmitter but then switched up to a WooKong and the drift problem disappeared! Magnetic declination will drift over time.... not because of the electronics but because it is an earth core fluid/geographical issue.
