There's a lot of discussion about the poor quality of the props DJI provides with its Flame Wheel multis. I am about to fly my new one for the first time but have hesitated becasue of what I'm seeing about the props. My dealer spoke to his distributor about the issue and was told that DJI is now using new props that are okay. Does anyone know about this? I ordered my F550 about 3 weeks ago.

To date I have not had 1 single problem with my DJI 8 inch props on a stock 550. I have seen lots of problems related to 10" and a few 8". I would not try 10" DJI but my 8" perform real well. I have been thru several sets now, basically because I have abused them. I just replace em when I chip them. Honestly, I am surprised with the abuse I have thrown at them - I have yet to actually break one. Make sure to not over tighten them. Good luck and have fun.

If you'd asked last week, I'd have said, "not to worry." But one of the 10" DJI props on my F450 broke in flight the other day, and I threw them all away and replaced them with Graupners. I've used APC blades on my hexa from day one. Now that "I've seen the light," I wouldn't risk my MCs with stock DJI props, regardless of size.
