DJI Naza V1 suddenly loosing altitude when flying forward

Hello guys,

I have a 650 size quad with F-30A (Simon K) ESC's and NX-4006 motors, spinning APC 14x4.7 props, and it flies pretty well. it is equipped with Naza V1 on V2.02 (used to be V3.14 but i downgraded as a precaution from fly aways).

lately i changed to Graupner 14x8 props (much more balanced) and the quad flies even better but noticed on the first day of flying with the new props that when i was flying forward (S->N) with the sun in the W direction, the quad would all of a sudden lose altitude quickly and to stop the fall i had to release forward stick, and it would stop and climb again, but once flying forward again - the same happend.

so i thought this could be the sun sensitive barometer, i landed and put black tape ONLY on the left side of the naza (this side was facing the sun when it happend. this seemed strange as it never happend before with the APC props (could be coincidence). anyway continued to fly that day with no problems up to 2Km away and back (FPV).

flew again yesterday, and again flying S->N with the sun at W caused the same thing (tape is still on the Naza!) so i turned 180 degrees (nose facing S while sun is in W) and flew backwards (i.e S->N with sun in the W but nose pointins S) and it still happens.

it only happend in that flight yesterday. next flight it was fine.
i can confirm 100% there is no voltage drop in the battery as i can see the OSD battery voltage stable and high enough (4S Lipo 10,000mAh 20C flies for 20 minutes).

please express your thoughts.
thanks.

It seems to happen more often then not for both my F550 c/w Graupner props and now even more on my WooKong on a 800mm Hex airframe. If I recall correctly I was able to adjust the vertical gain on the F550 which seemed to help but that does not help with the WKM on the 800mm airframe. So I learned to adjust the throttle while fast flying forward and backward etc. In addition to air pressure changes as a result of fast forward flight there is also the issue of the MR airframe acting as a crude airfoil when moving quickly forward..... a tilt down in forward flight causes the hub to create negative lift. In the case of the WKM, the IMU baro port hole was also cathcing a lot of turbulence off of the props in forward flight. Once I relocated it below the props, the erratic altitude changes disappeared. The NAZA, with the IMU and baro built in to the controller does not have a baro port hole and must allow simply for enclosure leakage to sense pressure changes according to altitude. There is also some pressure changes occurring around trees and buildings close to the ground that can affect altitude stability.....
