DJI F550 setup

Going through the naza F550 setup the package came with an AR6100E rx and I use a spektrun DX7 tx, so I don't think I can't set a "Fail safe" position on my F550 am I correct in saying this? The spektrum DX 7 has a smartsafe but not a failsafe. So if my signal is lost will the craft land the same as if it has a failsafe? I also can't get the fail safe bar turn blue when I turn off my tx. And I think that's becasue of the smartfafe right? Oh man I need help big time not as easy as the old heli.
