I fly a 28-32lb X8 cameraship, currently with the A2. With all the reports, I have zero confidence anymore in the A2. Aside from the ticking time bomb aspect of it, I also could never get the A2 tuned to fly that great. Doesn't hold altitude, doesn't transition well from fwd flight to holding, doesn't respond well to throttle - could just be inherent X8 issues, but I sure wish I had kept my old reliable WKM! That thing flew like it was on rails on my Cinestar flat 8.
Was thinking SuperX, but apparently it lacks the locked in feeling of WKM. Also SuperX has no motor out recovery algorithm.
My question is, if I buy a new WKM today, might I still be in danger of facing the very same reliability/flyaway issues that the A2 has exhibited. My understanding is that perhaps some of the hardware of the newer WKM units is the same as the A2. Is that true? WKM IMU V1 or V2 - would one be a safer bet than the other? I would go back to 5.16 for sure.
