Hi everyone, just a quick intro.
I lived in California (primarily) until I moved to Australia in 1988. I'm an ex commercial photographer (Brooks Institute grad if that means anything to people here) so I have a very strong interest in aerial photography. I just left my paid job as a Unix Sys Admin at a large Australian University and spend most of my time working for a not-for-profit that provides IT services to the non-profit sector.
I've been hanging out on DIYDrones for a while now and have been involved with the Canberra UAV team here which won the Outback UAV Rescue Challenge last year.
Just decided to move up to a Droidworx SkyJib Lite X-4 as a friend here has really impressed me with his DW XM-4. Really looking forward to the build and getting in to some high end video.
Thanks for all the info people have contributed to the site. It's a gold mine of information and I've learned heaps already.
Cheers.
