Custom Aluminium Dome Protector

Hello everyone,

My simple electronics protector, made by 2mm aluminium. It fits to MK and Droidworx frames easily with a screw.

I can say it's quite solid. I need the third brick for better protection.

It weights around 100 grams. It was just a test build, I'm going to build it from 1mm Delrin or G10 material, which should decrease the weight to about 40-50 grams.

The only problem is the direct sunlight exposure. Are there any known side effects of direct sunlight exposure to the electronics in flight? The pressure sensor is covered in foam and heatshrink tube.

I have an idea of putting MK Flight Controller and NaviCtrl board into closed plastic boxes like DJI Wookong-M. I Need to design the case first though.
