Crutches for quadcopter arms?

I have 4 x 17 inch props, a motor and a couple of ESC's left over from my last build and am dying to build another. I am thinking of making a large quadcopter with the legs of crutches I sawed off. They are about 30 inches long and weigh about 120 grams each. They are symmetrical and strong of course but a bit heavy, although I have a large Multistar motor and am willing to buy three more. I don't think weight would be an issue. What do you think?

They would, but I would have concerns over vibration transmission. Give them a try, worst case you change them out later.

Then that would depend on what type of thrust your motors have also
