Configuring ESCs for Multirotor

I have a Turnigy Multistar ESC programming card for my new Multistar 420KV 22 pole motors for my Octocopter...... but am not sure how to setup all the options on the programming card.

The motors are:

The programming card is:
http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor...rogramming_Card.html Here are the options: No issues here -------Battery Chemistry: Lipoly, Nimh, Life
LVC voltage (per cell): Lipo 2.8 - 3.2, Nimh 0.6-0.9, Life 2.2-2.8

But which choices do I select for the following????
LVC Cut off type: Hard cut or Power reduction
Brake: Off, medium and Hard
Timing: Low, Medium, High and Auto
Soft start: Slow, Medium and Fast

Mr take no prisoners!
Set battery to NiMh, effectively disables the LVC, you just don't want it active.
Timing probably medium.
LVC, disabled.
Brake off.
Medium or fast on the start.

I wondered the same thing. Take a look at this video (first one I came across) for some indication of potential benefits: http://youtu.be/SgvhKA2e93U

Not the most professional soundtrack, but you want to hear the motors, just not anything else that was recorded.

Not saying this is definitive, but looks like better behavior after flashing. Poke around, I'm sure there's more, this is the barest tip of the iceberg.

Thanks but I am not clear on what that could possibly gain me. Any chance you can offer some further insight into what this firmware and related ESC configuration can allow me to do....?
