Cf/gps

I have a JR 9503 radio. Does anyone know what effect it will have when the CF mode and GPS mode are on the same switch. Trying to find out what different scenarios it might cause. Also how would that happen to a radio since I have never programed anything into it.

The only thing that should happen is both functions get turned on and off at the same time. What might happen is if you don't know that CF is attached to the same switch as the GPS, you may get awfully confused about why the MK doesn't respond correctly to the sticks if you try to move it in any direction while the GPS is engaged.

As to how it could happen, well that has little to do with the TX for the most part, the poti assignments are done in MKtool and that would be the only place I can think of where the poti for a single switch/channel could be assigned to two different functions. I know of no way to assign a TX switch to two different channels at the same time which is what it would take to have different poti assignments in MKtool but operating from the same switch in the TX. Only other possibility is the TX is mightily fubar'd for something like that to happen.

I can't remember, is this the flight where it flew away over a subdivision and 'landed' next to a road by a field?

Like Ken said if you were to accidentally turn on CF and not know it, then you could become very disoriented. But that's pilot error.

The MK will fly fine with GPS and CF on at the same time. Even if they are on the same poti. The key is to be aware that they are on the same switch and have a complete understanding of how care free works.

GPS doesn't really matter.

With CF you need to plant your feet in the same exact spot and fly in front of you. When CF is activated the stick become left, right, forward and backward no matter what the yaw of the MK is doing.

Here's where you can screw up: If you were to then fly it over your head and turn around then the orientation will be reversed because you changed your orientation and the MK is still in it's own orientation.

There's probably a better explanation the .de wiki if you search for it.
