Sorry guys I am new to all this and I get confused when I read about satellites and cc. It makes me thing that there are limitations on what receiver to use. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes you can use.

The OP board can use any receiver (including 72 mHz) just make sure you use the PWM firmware when getting your board set up.
