Hoverfly Calibrate ESC's or?? Using HF Sport. (Choppy Throttle)

Ok.. so I built up a smaller rig to be able to do some indoor filming in tighter spaces. (A print show wants me to do a production floor run from above capturing the LONG 6 color presses)
I built this guy around a HF Sport board flashed with the latest AV rom.

I pulled the 20 amp ESC's from another rig, and the motors are DJI wanna-be's but work great.

The quad is balanced by the battery pack in the back to compensate for the camera being out front.

Although it seems like the HFSport is doing it's job to be very stable, the throttle response is crap. It's almost like a light switch.
Off or on... the throttle has a linear curve set up on the radio and the rest of the programming look sjust like my other Y6 program which flys great
The throttle travel is set to L100 - H100. The esc's on the last model were very smooth with different motors.

Is there an esc calibration I need to do with the sport? Something to define the low and high points of the stick movement? Or a calibration I need to do with the ESC"S?
I did not have to do this on my Y6 with the HFSport board, and it's throttle response is flawless. I just plugged it in, and adjusted the gain and it was awesome out of teh box.

Any thoughts?

Here is the rig.

I don't think the Sport board's firmware has the latest updates that allow for throttle calibration all hooked up. You'll probably need to hook each esc up to your receiver one at a time and calibrate them. Or you can solder up a 4 to 1 esc harness that allows you to hook them all up at once to the receiver for throttle calibration.

Hope that helps,
Paul

I did all the esc throttle calibrations together and it worked fine. Why would it not be able to? The FC doesnt do anything, right? And yes, the throttle response is TOUCHY! even with a gentle curve. oh well.

So I tried everything. I individually calibrated the ESC's (I think) and it was a bit better but not good. I switched to 8" props instead of the 10". Did not really help. I am getting frustraited today. And again the HF board seems like it wants to be solid, but the throttle choppiness is causing issues. I'm putting the device away and stepping back for a moment to think.

It was that or throw the whole thing threw a window! AHHAHA..

When multi's work well they are a pleasure, when you have issues, they can drive you insane!
