Hey all, I am hoping for a little advice if anyone has any for me. I'm ordering parts for my first quad build.
So the important bits here, this first build is going to be a 250mm size quad with FPV. The FC I was leaning towards was the ET Vector but then after seeing the HKPilot Mega master set at $180 I am unsure. The APM based system seems more powerful ultimately, but the Vector seems more compact and lighter, easier to set up, with ease of changing models, 12V&5V power supply, color OSD, etc. The Vector can only relay telemetry info through the OSD.
The quality of the gyro/accel., processor, and GPS on the Vector in comparison to the HKP is unknown to me but I imagine it's adequate. The Vector seems like it might do for now and I can get a pixHawk when I'm ready to build something more advanced, larger, or octo in the future. I just don't want to pay more for less if the APM clone will fly/perform better. Plus HobbyKing shipping seemed expensive last time I almost ordered there, might make the $ difference less than it seems.
Any advice? Anyone with experience with both FC's?
btw- the automated waypoints don't really matter to me right now, and it sounds like that may be supported in the future with the vector.
