Braid or not to Braid - Motor wires to ESC

What is the deal, should I braid the motor wires on my multirotor build (Octo) or should I not?

Braiding makes the wires shorter but isn't a good think with long boom arms.

What you need to do is get a small compass from Holgar and then go around the airframe when it is powered up and see if you have any magnetic fields that could interfere with the mag. I always fix a special thin sheet of ant-mag. material on the back of the GPS puck. This stuff comes from the hifi guys who use it all over the place.
