Attitude mode Vario Altitude, Who does it really work ?

Hi,

having several flights behind me now with my WKM hexa, Im starting to think about some things more in detail.
I have noticed that in some way WKM has to calculated newly at every take off (or taking the variables from the flight before) what the take off weight is thus how much throttle WKM has to give to allow altitude hold in mid stick.
1 KG Camera on, Camera off shows this nicely. Than I was wondering what WKM interpretation of full throttle from the remote might be. Subjectively I would say my motors could generate more thrust than they are in
attitude mode and the throttle stick all the way up. I have not tried manual mode yet with punching the throttle all the way up not knowing if this would make a difference.

What are your experiences on this ? I will probably start messing with my remote and see if i can increase the throttle but not sure if WKM will not interpret the input its one way again.

Thanks

Boris

Hi boris,

Yeah I,m also a little unsure as to how the gps hold works. Like where does your throttle need to be in order to achieve the hold function ? Haven,t tried manual yet but i,m having throttle issues anyway and can,t seem to set the throttle range correctly yet because i lift off only at midpoint and the power only comes on at the top end of throttle and popping is not an option yet...

I had a similar problem until the controller sees where level hover power is in relation to 50% power and then it steadies down to a normal response.

Boris, I noticed a similar thing this weekend. I flew the Hexa for the first time and as ovdt said, you have to punch the throttle more than half was to get it off the ground, but as soon as it takes off, reduce throttle to mid stick and it hovers lovely.

Gunter.
