Announcement: Inspire 1 Radio Interference Issues

Some radio communication devices (including walkie-talkies and other such devices) have the potential to interfere with the Inspire 1’s radio signals and may present a safety hazard if used in close proximity while flying.

Please remember:
1. Only use radio communication devices that are in compliance with legally established standards and ITU Radio Regulations.
2. When using a radio communication device, be sure to keep it at least 16 feet (5 meters) from the aircraft and remote controller.
3. DJI takes no responsibility for any Inspire 1 malfunction caused by the use of illegal or non-compliant equipment.

Thank you,
DJI

I plan on using my Inspire at construction sites where radio communications are common. However I have no control over those radios or how they are used other than to warn the company before flights. It would be much more helpful if this announcement was more specific. What frequencies cause issues and at what power? Then I can scan for those frequencies to be proactive and mitigate potential hazards. Telling us that 'some communication devices may present a safety hazard' leads me to believe that it may not be safe to use this product at all. I'm really not sure my insurance company would be happy with this announcement. If there's an issue then we need to know the details.
