A friend that is helping a older gentle that has done traditional photography

He has an old Mainer drone that someone sold him but they took the flight controller and gps out and just left the motors and ESCs

He wants to set it up to do way-point flying and you guessed it to take pictures.

He went on Banggood and purchased a Omnibus F4 all in one flight controller pro version and a gps dome no wiring detail.

I fly helicopters and airplanes and have a couple of over the counter drones for the back yard.

Any suggestions on what I should tell him (I think I know the answer already)

There will be a big learning curve to set this up as if you want waypoints, your only firmware option for the Omnibus is iNav. You're going to have to determine what GPS module you have, and it's pinout. Basically you're going to have two wires for power (3.3V or 5V depending on the model), two wires (rx & tx) going to a spare uninverted UART on the Omnibus and the last two wires going to the i2C bus on the Omnibus marked as pads SCL & SDA
