3D Scanning via UAV

We have been working with a 3D scanning company lately to try and see how far we could push the envelope of photogrammetry. Our first tests were to scan a familiar monument in our area and see how much 3D data we could pull together without the use of lasers, only photos. The results are more then we imagined and we will now be moving onto larger projects.

Very nice, i have been using a third party company to render 3D images for my clients, composites of hundreds (and thousands) of still images.

What setup do you use? I never thought of using lasers for 3D images since even the good one's cost thousands and are very finicky...
