I had limited funds and a vision, and sometimes that is all you need!
It all started with a sale at MontoRC on a few clearance items... namely a HUGE savings on Cobra C4120/18 540kv motors.
If you have never seen these things they are MONSTERS, very quality and smooth as silk!

So I slapped this guy together with a used VulcanUAV frame (cut down to 700mm)
As I mentioned, the motors I got on a blow out from MontoRC ($28 each as there were only 4 left usually $139!)
4 Maytech 65amp SimonK ESC’s I had laying around and a Naza 2 from an old review... I spent some time figuring out what I could build and it actually came out awesome!!

14.4LBS READY TO FLY with (2) 6000mah 6S packs, NEX5n and 2 axis gimbal and it flys GREAT!
ACTUALLY WITH 13/4.5 PROPS THE THING IS BALLISTIC!
According to the motor data it should have no problems lifting an AUW of 27 at around 80 - 90%, so the 14.4 is spot on!

12 minutes with time to spare.

Don’t ya just love when a plan comes together!!

And yea I might move the batts directly behind the center plates, but I had the vulcan batt holders so I just used them.
Dosen’t seem to cause any issues.

It’s the Vulcan UAV rail system. The batt holders and frame mount all slip on. And it’s the same size and distance as the DJI S800 rails.
The little guy will surprise you how powerful it is! I’m digging it!
