    Naza Firmware 4.02 now released

Cinefly ... Both my v1 and my v2, on any firmware, show a bit of ccw yawing after a command to yaw either ccw or cw completes.

NAZA V1 "Internal Temp Too High" when attempting INU Adv calibration

I found that fanning the unit with a piece of paper (or similar) during that 5 minute period helped things along. Ambient about 72 degrees.

Firmware 3.16, IOSD MINI, and BTU

And now their new v1.18 manual will not download from their site. Someone over there isn't taking care of business. Does DJI have financial problems we don't know about? Seems no one over there is minding the store any more.

    New 2.16 Assistant software available.

Assistant 2.16 is broken. Won't upgrade 3.14 to 3.16. Where on earth is DJI? Asleep at the wheel all day long.

Firmware 3.16, IOSD MINI, and BTU

Installed Assistant 2.16 using exe installation. Ran it. It popped open in the upgrade screen, only screen it will open BTW, and tells me I need to upgrade 3.14 to 3.14. It won't upgrade to 3.16 FW, IOW. Assistant 2.14 still works fine.

Frightening near fly away this afternoon

The going up, then down, part mimics Failsafe behavior. But cannot say for sure from your info. But you did observe a lack of control response. So you might want to focus on your radio links. Also are your props secure?

Texas HB 912 Passes out of House. Ban image capture by Unmanned Aircraft

Wasn't it created in response to some rich rancher (that's landowner, to those who don't speak Texan) getting sued for polluting a river, where the evidence was someone's drone video of the perps dumping pollutants into the river.

    AVL 58 5.8gig receiver

Thank goodness for the internet - DJI has nothing about this that I could find on their website or their wiki.

Adjustable RTH Altitiude on NAZA V2?

And NAZA should be ashamed of itself, for setting it below tree top height.

    Dear John...I mean DJI...

Hmmm - if I remember rightly (retired now) the country that makes the stuff, gets to set the standards ... so who's making the stuff these days? I wonder. But, have to admit, I had it wrong for a bit, due to the red/green reversal (North American culture). Caught myself, before I...

Are DJI F450/550 "legs" structural?? Camera vibrations after removing two legs!!

Looks structural to me. The motor mounts clearly have less support with the legs removed.

    Any Waterproofed Multirotors out there?

Try making your own boxcopter - this guy at fleshpilot.com has several videos on flying and making what he calls boxcopters. Basically, a tuperware type of body from Target, Walmart, etc. That contains the electronics. Motors affixed to wooden arms fastened to the plastic. He lands on the...
