Looking good Andy. What are your gains set at?

    Balancing Xoar props

I use sandpaper on my plastic props, but I thought on wood it was a bad idea because you may remove the polyurethane in spots and the wood then becomes affected by humidity.

I should also mention that the gimbal tilt is almost rock solid at a very steep angle - looking down at 45° or so. The above wandering I described seems to only happen when the tilt is closer to level - looking down at a 10°-15° or so. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Thank you for that explanation. I think my problem is too little integral gain then. On an AV130, with a lot of zoom on a windy day, the tilt horizon was consistently above or below where it should be - I think the machine was always tilting forward or back in the wind. So if I crank up the gain...

Hopefully PH will address this, but my understanding is that you need some Integral gain to keep the horizon level. Mine is at 10 which I assumed was the default.

Hard to tell without a second camera, but your roll doesn't appear to be working at all. Not like a bug, but like it isn't connected at all.

Very nice. What are your gains?

I put the gimbal tilt control onto one of the 3-way switches and moved my zoom to CTRL6. In the controller you can turn down the servo% on the Tilt and get a real fine control.

My AV130 seems pretty stable on the ground with the new (1.2.2) FW. No jitter, it's holding level, etc. Is anyone else running Mikrokopter electronics and a Graupner HOTT controller? How are you controlling the gimbal tilt in a one-person set-up? I had wanted to use the knob CTRL 6, but maybe a...

PH has posted the new FW - 1.2.2, the new set-up guide, and a harness mod on their website: http://www.photohigher.co.nz/products/flight-and-gimbal-control-systems/skyline-gyro-rsgs/

It's an adjustable resistor aka a potentiometer without the knob I guess. http://www.mouser.com/Passive-Components/PotentiometersTrimmers-Rheostats/Trimmer-Resistors-Through-Hole/_/N-9q0yt?P=1z0vkp4

Thanks Wayne. Anyone using two Skylines on an AV130?

Maybe you guys could start a separate thread for the class action talk and save this one for the people trying to get them working?

That's very interesting. Are you on an AV130? How did you mount them?

Got that sorted. Apparently a mismatch between software and firmware. I now just have the jitters like everyone else. I'm on a AV130, so I guess I'll try the Y-power cable. Yours sure looked good on the ground nicwlike - are you using 1.1.7? Any suggestions for me?

I'm in the same boat. Servos just try and spin constantly. I can't seem to find any way to get this unit to stop trying to ruin itself.
