Well I think I fried mine ! I was hooking up a v2 vmu to a v1 controller and smoked it. The controller works it flys in atti fine. But won't recognize the gps. Bought a new gps and it still won't show up in assistant. Everything is setup right, I've done It dozens of times. Must fried something...

Your flight mode switch is 3 position. 1 Manuel. 2 alti. 3 gps. You have to be in gps for home lock , course lock. The switch on the left side back is your failsafe. In that link I sent you , it will tell you how to set it. What receiver are you using?

My magnetic declination is 12o west. Does that mean just turn the compass arrow a little counter clockwise?

I sent you the link to Freechips blog on Rc groups .. The download is right there just download it to your computer and put it on your dx8 sd card. Then open the card on your radio. That's it done everything assigned to switches and all. The only thing you have to do is set your receiver...

I really think a download section for the DX8 or whatever setup would be great. I was lucky enough to find a download for F450 naza gps. I spent four days trying to setup without it. Got the download and everything was perfect. All switches assigned .
