I notice that one of my motors spins slower on startup then the others (motor 6) and yes I did calibrate them all. I have not touched them afterwards.

I just flew it in gusty wind (still at 250 vertical gain) and had it position hold for about 10 minutes, working well, did move up and down perhaps 2-3 meters (I'd say normal considering the wind gusts) but no sudden surges like before.

Vertical gain is now maxed at 250, appears to be working however there was only a steady low wind today and I only had time to fly for 5 minutes, I'm optimistic.

I was going to try changing it values over 200 today. I can't say I've seen any improvement from 80 to >150 . What vertical gain values are you guys using?

I have the same problem with my WKM. It is fine in calm weather but today a little windy and it was surging up a lot, had a hard time getting it down. This has been a problem for some time now, it has no ability to altitude hold with any wind.

I just change mine to 0 and.... smoother no doubt. Changed the GPS location by the same amount (not zero, 8cm less then it was). Flying Rusty's UAP1 frame,Hex, 620KV motors with 12x6 props. It is however calm outside. I almost tipped it over on take off so it seems slightly less responsive.

I always thought it was odd that down was positive. So are you saying you are using +4 to mean above your CG? Wouldn't that mean 4cm under you CG?

Vislaw, thanks it worked kind of for me, the perl script. Recovered 2 minutes of video, unfortunately not the crash was still going up as the video stopped. Here's a couple screen captures, the soft landing pad and the highest point the video captured.

I used 2 layers of what I think was 6mm shrink wrap. Works great, the only issue is I wanted it to be easy to switch props. I'll post if I ever come across that spacer again.

Just bumping this up, surely someones encountered this. I`ve found some brass pipe that has an OD of 6mm and an ID of 5.1mm, should work but I`d rather not have to cut pipe if I don`t have too.
