Anyone install the GPS on anything other than the included mast?

I put mine on a carbon tube between the rear two arms. Works fine.

    DJI F550 which replacement props?

That's what I've been using for months now, they seem to work fine to me. The motors aren't hot after landing and I found I get a good 10% - 20% more flight time that if I use 8" props.

Naza GPS - Lock times in Southern Hemishpere. Does it work?

Did another flight half an hour so and timed how long the GPS took to get a good green light - about 15 seconds. That was, as mentioned above, just powering the NAZA/GPS first then once it was locked-on the camera then FPV gear.

Naza GPS - Lock times in Southern Hemishpere. Does it work?

FWIW I turn on the Naza & GPS first, then once it's locked-on I then turn on the camera then the FPV gear. I found with other GPS devices that if there's interference then they often have trouble locking-on, but once they have they can then live with a bit of interference and still work okay.

    Finding offset angle for GPS

FWIW I just set my GPS straight and it seems to fly just fine. We have about an 11° east deviation here as well.

    Naza with HiTec Aurora 9

It worked all right for me, as the failsafe function didn't seem to happen immediately, it took a couple of seconds and that's more than enough to make sure the slider is in the correct position. One one end of the travel was GPS, the other Manual, and in the centre ATT. A few clicks either side...

    Yep like that! :)

    Naza with HiTec Aurora 9

Yes there's a couple of ways - I used the left slider (LS) to go between all the modes and that worked fine for me. But I wanted to use the three-position switch on the left instead and a fellow on RCgroups told me how - Give me a little time and I'll dig up the post.

    Any updates on Naza GPS????

The solution was posted for me on RCgroups - So I don't have to use the slider any more, the switches now do all the work as I wanted.

Setting a failsafe point with a 3-pos swtich on Hitec A9

I ended up giving-up and just using the A9 slider, and it works fine. It's still not all that easy to swap between the modes quickly & accurately but when I tried it, I found that it doesn't action the failsafe RTH immediately so I have time to set the slider where I want it. The other good...

Setting a failsafe point with a 3-pos swtich on Hitec A9

Thanks, but I'm not using a slider ..... at least not if I can avoid it. I'd like to stick with the switch as it's far more positive and easy to set by feel.

Setting a failsafe point with a 3-pos swtich on Hitec A9

I guess it's likely not possible, but what I need to do is make the three-position switch on a Hitech Aurora9 TX go to a position other than the three pre-set positions when the TX is turned off. It's for my F550 and for the failsafe function in that to work the (effective) servo position has...

Where to mount compass mast on F550 Hex

That's me - It seems to work just fine I think. I get GPS lock-on within about 20 - 30 seconds and never lose it. Once airborne the F550 does circle around a for a short while but then settles down.

    Any updates on Naza GPS????

Quick dumb question sorry guys - I'm trying to set up the failsafe on my F550. Got a Hitec Aurora 9 TX and I've set the GPS/ATT/MAN function to one of the three-position switches on the TX. When I am testing the failsafe by turning the TX off I can't get the failsafe function on the NAZA to be...

    Any updates on Naza GPS????

I tried the IOC function today, it seemed to work perfectly so it doesn't seem to bother the compass.

    Any updates on Naza GPS????

Did a successful first flight with the GPS on, seemed it work okay I think. It did wander around a little but nowhere near as much as without the GPS on. And of course, I forgot to turn the camera on.

    Any updates on Naza GPS????

Thanks - It's held in place with a couple of small carbon tubes, it's surprisingly stiff and I also balance the props so I don't think vibration will be a problem. The props are Graupner & so are plastic, so I don't think will affect the GPS signal at all - When I was setting it up inside the...

    Any updates on Naza GPS????

Finished fitting the GPS unit today, hopefully I'll have a good flight tomorrow. I still have to do the compass calibration spinny thing first.
