Building a new Drone, need advice =)

Your post seeks advice on efficiency, but the items suggested are over the top for lifting a GoPro. A more efficient method would be to reduce the size of everything. Bigger batteries do not automatically result in longer flight times. 25 minutes is a tough but not impossible target. Why pick...

    Poor signal - Horizontal lines

A simple fix which works is to solder a thin wire between the outer case of the camera usb plug and the negative side of the battery. Sent from my XT1032 using Tapatalk

    Interesting experience!

Thinking back, he was probably waiting for a car to come along so he could film it passing beneath him. This would explain his irritation at my refusal. Did I overreact, should I just have continued driving beneath his P3? I don't think so, I certainly was not 'under his control ' and had no way...

    Interesting experience!

So I'm driving along the road near Hadrian's Wall when I come face to face with a Phantom 3. I stop and the guy flying climbs to 50 ish feet and waves me through. Unwilling to drive underneath a possibly uninsured craft, I sit there and wait. The guy gets more agitated, but eventually lands. I...

New Release: Connex HD Video Downlink 3000FT $1599.

We couldn't achieve the same solid reliability of the Tomahawk. Possibly due to HDMI issues. I know others have had similar issues. SDI output is pretty important to broadcast applications and Amimon would seem to be restricting themselves to HDMI only.

Show what you filmed - Post Your Video Here

I agree that ProDRENALIN is excellent for lens corrections but in my view, the stabiliser is not the greatest. The best I have seen so far are YouTube's and iMovie. Still worth the money for instant lens fix though.

New(ish) Commercial Startup - Any Advice?

Angus offers excellent advice. First know your market. Only then can you decide on a platform. Also, if you have a Heli A or B cert, you only need to submit an Ops Manual, though this is best achieved with some training. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

New Release: Connex HD Video Downlink 3000FT $1599.

At the moment, we have retained a separate RX and use a channel from that to operate the camera via the Gentwire.

New Release: Connex HD Video Downlink 3000FT $1599.

Thanks Shahar, we are aware of the Teradek Bolt and the Paralinx Tomahawk, however, their stated range is only up to 600m. The Amimon Pro SkyLink 503 has a stated range of up to 2000m. This is presumably due to it's high gain RX antenna. It would appear that this product is not for sale! Could...

New Release: Connex HD Video Downlink 3000FT $1599.

As one of the UKs largest Outside Broadcasters, we see potential in such a product. However, we are not an OEM. Back to Vislink I guess! Shame.

But don't Amimon have other products?

New Release: Connex HD Video Downlink 3000FT $1599.

Hi Shahar, We have been trying to get hold of an SDI 3G version. I understand that the Sky 503 would be ideal. Our dealer in the UK is having difficulty getting hold of one, are they available yet?

New Release: Connex HD Video Downlink 3000FT $1599.

Better antennae are everything! BUT, having previously used high gain RX antennae, they 'suck' in everything else! So better antennae, suitable rejection filters, noise rejecting receiver etc. etc. There is no simple answer, and worse, what works great at A might not work at all at B.

New Release: Connex HD Video Downlink 3000FT $1599.

We too have found 400m to be the limit in anything but perfect conditions and very close to the ground. Haven't played with settings yet. Anyone have any experience with NavTech links?

Carapau, we haven't tested with a receiver present yet. Interested to see if we also experience a reduced range. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

New Release: Connex HD Video Downlink 3000FT $1599.

Re read that and thought it sounded c#¥p! Basically, a microwave transmission such as 5 Ghz, will be boosted by proximity to a reflector. ie. The ground. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

With this frequency, ground is needed to propagate the signal. The further away from 'ground' the poorer the reception. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
