Anyone else having NIGHTMARISH issues with DJI Support / Warranty ?

Sorry to hear your story but sounds just typical of DJI, I have 2x Ace Waypoint flight controllers, £8,800 each. I have issue with them and after two years of trying to get support from Dji with NO result at all, they said for TWO YEARS the ACE waypoint support engineer is on holiday, nobody...

    iOSD logs not showing

Since Firmware 2.3 there is a change in the Log data. As for now there is no way to read the data yourself. Dji China are the only people able to read the data AT THE MOMENT. You can send it to them and they will "translate" it for you. Dji are working on a solution. This is a shame as it makes...

    WKM M Altitude problems

Hi all, I have just build a new 8x 400 kv 13,4.5 blades. I'm having altitude trouble with the Wookong M V5.26. I started with 6s. Flies wonderful but in GPS and Atti mode the Altitude is all over the place. I then tried 4s to see if the rig is over powered. Still flies nice but same problem. At...

    Tiger-Motors U8 + 28x9,2 props

Dragonrider You won’t go wrong inverting in something like the Kopterworx hammer x8, don’t be put off by a RTF when you have not been in the RC game for a while. A LOT of effort and R&B go into these RTF solutions before they go out on the market (I hope). Purchasing something like the Hammer...

    Tiger-Motors U8 + 28x9,2 props

Hi Dragonrider, You are right, this is a good forum. I don't tent to use forums very much but this one is the best I have found and there are knowledgeable / sensible people on here genuinely trying to help each other. I have found on with many other places people trying to make a living out of...

    Tiger-Motors U8 + 28x9,2 props

    # This will be an all Carbon fiber construction. The booms will be 50mm at it's widest point. This is a custom build so no pre-constructed parts are being used. I may throw together a basic H-frame using 40mm or 30mm Carbon tubes to test the setup first though.

    Tiger-Motors U8 + 28x9,2 props

I can't see any reason having the motor underneath the boom improving the efficiency. unless the boom is shaped as an airfoil designed to improve the air flow into the prop.

Quinton Not sure what you mean by this. With an x there is one motor on top of the boom and one on the bottom.

    Tiger-Motors U8 + 28x9,2 props

Well a parcel arrived today. 8x t-motor U11 120Kv, 8x 28" props and 70a Pro ESCs. Man are those motors big. I hope I have made the right choice . As an experiment I tested one of my x4s today. Usual runs on 4x 480kv @ 4s. I added another pack in series so 8s. The idea was to see what the WKM...

    A2 Problems Catalogue

I posted this on another thread and thought it would be sensible to add it to this. We were discussing anti-vibration. I add though if we do look after the hardware and give it a chance and it still fails then Dji simply has to withdraw there product and fix the problems. We users can't afford...

    Wookong-M GPS Hold Broken? Troubleshoot?

It is common scene that an IMU would suffer from excessive vibrations. these are sensitive MEMs. You can't expect them to perform perfectly when they are being vibrated. I have tested this with the A2 as posted in http://www.multirotorforums.com/showthread.php?21630-A2-Problems-Catalogue the A2...

    Tiger-Motors U8 + 28x9,2 props

Ferdinard's video of an x8 taking off from a flying x16 is actual very interesting. Not just a stunt, it actual proves the capable reaction speed of large props and low KV. When the x8 takes off there is a sudden load drop from the x16. Note how the x16 holds it's altitude and stability so...

    Wookong-M GPS Hold Broken? Troubleshoot?

With the particular system we have, even if we have 10+ sats it still drops out of GPS. If you hover for a while in GPS and it "floats about" for a while then jerks as if it has locked on to something then "floats about again. This is what ours dose. When it jerks this is it going into GPS for a...

    Tiger-Motors U8 + 28x9,2 props

I understand your point that 6s is not going to produce reaction speed to keep the system stable. Running 12s with a 22x6 prop may produce better results.

    Wookong-M GPS Hold Broken? Troubleshoot?

Do you have video feed setup yet? If so look to see if it is actually going into GPS (Bottom left of the screen). We have a Wkm which constantly drops out GPS back to Atti without any indication on LED. I have been told there was a bad batch of GPS units which a certain suppler still sells in...
