I think Ferdinand was a bit short of lift and the Phantom had to come to the rescue.... ;)

That's very impressive work Ferdinand. It's come a long way since I saw the vid with the much smaller airframe and electric pusher mounted on the back. Loving it! :)

DJI has released the latest A2 firmware v2.4

I think I did the right thing deciding to wait for at least some weeks before even thinking about upgrading the firmware... FW2.3 has been fine for me so far so there's not really any need to upgrade anyway. Again, these software issues don't improve confidence in the A2 and it's software for...

DJI has released the latest A2 firmware v2.4

Ah yes, so it is... :) i haven't dared upgrading my A2's to FW2.4 yet so I don't know if the idle speed setting has been fixed but, as per post, the motors are running at the default idle speed regardless of idle settings in Atti/GPS mode on FW2.3 for me.

DJI has released the latest A2 firmware v2.4

Here's the post from KDE about this issue: "Hey Guys, Customers forwarded this thread to me, experiencing similar issues with startup-idle RPM on motors with the KDE Direct XF ESCs. Since we can directly control the RPM of the motor with the XF ESCs through a receiver direct with no issues...

DJI has released the latest A2 firmware v2.4

I think I'll wait for a bit after the last firmware update troubles.... after that I'll be ditching a few A2 controllers.

    A2 Dilemma

Same here....I've not really had any problems but am considering getting a SuperX for evaluation and pause buying any more A2's for now....

KDE Direct has added Multi-Rotor Heli motors to their lineup

I hear you... As long as the quality is matching the original design I don't really have a problem where it is manufactured. Sure, t he US (or UK for that matter) would be my preference but above all I want the product to have an excellent level of design and final quality. Production location...

KDE Direct has added Multi-Rotor Heli motors to their lineup

Correct me if I'm wrong but I was under the impression KDE design the motors/ESC's, then have them made in a Chinese factory to their (American) spec and finally do QA in the US.....

Tiger U5 and sync issues (call to U5 owners)

those are my findings too. Fly 30minutes without payload no problem....add a bit of weight...5minutes flight ok....6.5mins...multi esc shutdown due to temps followed by a flip and a hard crash... Chassis was a total write-off, Zenmuse doesn't crash well, Sony A7 display has a crack and a few...

Tiger U5 and sync issues (call to U5 owners)

yes, no problems at all. I've tried various T-motor S25&45amp ESC's and T-motor motors without any trouble. Having said that I will be phasing out the T-motor ESC's and motors as I prefer using KDE ones...despite the fact it takes weeks for them to arrive through the post to the UK... Just needs...

Tiger U5 and sync issues (call to U5 owners)

I've been using U5-400kv's with TM S45amp SimonK ESC's without any commutation issues and good results.

    KDE XF esc's

Interesting - thanks for that. I was going to replace some T-motor ESC's running U5's with the XF35's. I'll save the XF35's for the XF3510's I've got waiting for another chassis - that'll definitely work and will probably be my preferred setup anyway.
