Phantom 2 VISION and VISION+ FPV Glasses from EPSON

Sorry. Here's the link to the review: http://www.visual-aerials.com/epson-moverio-bt-200.html Unfortunately, the Moverio currently can't accept a video input. A future update is expected to give HDMI in, however. I believe the resolution of Google Glass is simply too low to be useful for an...

Phantom 2 VISION and VISION+ FPV Glasses from EPSON

My buddy and I have been doing tests with the new EPSON BT-200 MOVERIO glasses this past week using both the original Phantom 2 Vision and the new Vision +. Basically, the MOVERIO glasses have an integrated Android 4 controller so you can load the DJI Vision FPV/Telemetry app and have it...

Black and white picture from DJI video downlink

You're going to get the same output that you record with out of the HDMI output. So you have to choose PAL or NTSC. I get fine color output shooting NTSC now that I have the new board installed. You are saying that you still can't see color out of your HDMI when you shoot NTSC?

Black and white picture from DJI video downlink

I'm not sure what you mean. PAL is a frame rate (25 frames per second). Thus, when you switch to PAL you are recording 25 frames per second as opposed to NTSC, which is 29.97 fps. Thus, if you switch to PAL you are recording at 25 frames per second. I prefer the PAL rate as being close to film...

    Y6 Builders thread

Long ago I turned off the voltage alarm and rely on the Quanum Telemetry system from HobbyKing to monitor voltage. It is SO much better to have that realtime voltage data. The other day I noticed one cell going haywire in a suspect 6S LiPo -- very obvious due to the bar display for each of the 6...

    DJI Phantom Video

Hero3 Black mounted on rubber Zenmuse dampers (you can get a pack of them for $3 at Aerial Media Pros). The dampers definitely are an improvement but I'm going to try to put some time into attacking the jello per the nice suggestions above.

    DJI Phantom Video

21 minute flight with 5000mah battery Total weight with FPV cam and transmitters was 1055g (55g OVER stated limit). I flew until 3.5 volt warning (lower than I would ordinarily go) but got 21.5 minutes flight time.

I also have two sets of the originals with no problems so far and have found them responsive via e-mail. I'd also like to know what problem you had and what procedure you went through to return them.

Quanum 2.4Ghz Telemetry System parallel system...

The balance plug is actually just wired in series with a tap into each cell. Thus, there is no need to wire the balance plugs if you have the main power leads in parallel. Just hook one balance plug to the Quanum transmitter it will send the voltage of the individual cells on that battery but...

Quanum 2.4Ghz Telemetry System parallel system...

I have a couple of these useful little monitors and have flown two of them with two batteries in parallel but then asked myself, "WTF? Do you really need to monitor all those cells when you are getting the total system voltage anyway?" I decided, no, it was overkill and I'm content to use one...

    S800 retractable landing gear

Indeed. Wish I lived next to you as I would have learned a lot of stuff from watching instead of through hard knocks. By the way, forty years ago we hosted a foreign exchange student from Limmasol who has become a part of our family and a true brother to me. I hope to come visit him before too...

    S800 retractable landing gear

I hear what you're saying Denny and I'm sure your crews are much more skilled than our motley ragtag collection of misfits. We work a pretty unique niche without a lot of competition and our approach is giving us what we need and letting us pay the bills. I appreciate learning from you mavens...

    DJI Phantom Video

I posted this on RCGroups but in case some of you aren't following the Phantom thread there I thought you might be interested to see how nicely the Phantom fits in the Pelican 1550 without having to take off the props.

    S800 retractable landing gear

Denny, for us, at least, the biggest advantage for getting the gear out of the way is to allow the MR to move while the camera is tracking a fixed location (something the Z15 is very good at). With some basic coordination between pilot and camera assistant you can get some very beautiful shots...

    DJI S800 batteries

You can run as many 6S as you want in parallel as the voltage will stay constant. HOWEVER, the takeoff weight limit is 7kg so you will quickly get overweight if you start stacking too many batteries. I mainly use MaxAmps 11,000 LiPos because they have the best power to weight ratio, but I have...

    Peli Case for S800 &/or Z15

I would be very interested if anybody could tell me what the discounted price would be for the 1627 Loadout case: http://www.uwkinetics.com/products/1627-loadoutcase It looks to me like it may be the biggest possible case that still meets the 62-inch checked baggage limit. But the $600 price...

    DJI Phantom Video

From all accounts DJI has hit a home run with the Phantom. A local dealer got a big shipment and sold out immediately and has a list of names waiting for the next. For a RTF naza-based quad complete with tx it is a good deal in my opinion.

    Peli Case for S800 &/or Z15

They do have some interesting cases but the pricing seems to be higher than comparable Pelican cases: http://www.uwkinetics.com/cases/overview ... at least for the larger ones.
