That is consistent with my experience when my quad was stock and naked. I was using a Pulse 4s 4100mAh battery and getting 12 minutes or better with modest maneuvering.

Chris, your main question did not get answered. You don't need anything more than a gimbal and fpv through your GoPro (assuming). Fly LOS, get to your subject, look at your MONITOR (not goggles) frame, shoot, fly away.

@xsnowb27 Based mostly on what I've read here and around other forums, and a little bit on personal experience so far, I'd say the following on batteries. Go with 4s instead of 3s. Most people find the 4s on the stock DJI motors and even 10" props does just fine. DJI warns of overheating motors...

Try the 3m VHB #4010 tape. Clear and leaves no residue when removed. Really sticks. Amazon link but you can find it at Walmart or any hardware store.

I got the New motors mounted after a little dremmel work on the DJI legs. Mounted the 1147 props and boy is it overpowered for now! My AUW with GoPro and 4100 35C 4s battery is 1907. Don't have the Aimdroix legs in yet.
