In addition, how are the arm connections holding up for you guys that frequently remove them for storage/travel?

Is there still a higher-than-should-be percentage of ESC's that are failing due to a faulty capacitor solder joint? I read about motor dampers cracking over time but some folks eluded to making sure props are extended before flight as a solution. What are your thoughts on this?

Agreed. I resoldered all motor bullet connectors when I first received the machine since folks said the cold welds were prone to breaking. All ESC/motor wires were tied in place quite well with slack. Two motors felt gritty after the crash but one actually feels like it has a bearing issue.

Am I correct in that the only real issue with these ESC's is with respect to the bullet connectors?

Yep. Not sure but I've read numerous threads about failed motors. I'll take my chance with the ESC's but will do a good bit of bench and low altitude testing before attaching a new gimbal.

I had either a motor or ESC failure this weekend and have contacted both Atlanta Hobby as well as the manufacturer regarding repair parts for it. It ain't lookin' good folks. Nice mount but the support doesn't seem to be there.

I took the machine apart tonight and two motors feel somewhat gritty when turned. Not sure what caused this crash but am replacing all motors with the newer heavy lift kit from Aerial Media Pros and one ESC (that was damaged in crash).

I do have footage but not ready for upload. The machine has worked fine for a few months in numerous weather and light conditions.

Well, I tried the S3156 servos as well as through an external BEC (common grounds with NAZA). System works but still jitter. Looks like I'm ordering a HoverflyGimbal.
