We have has something like that happening to us and found it was a poor contact to the Antenna. Also if you can try bypassing the iOSD and have the AVL58 TX connected straight to your video source to rule out the TX of the iOSD first.

Oh I should mention we are going to fly the A2 off-sore in two days and are expecting high winds and gusts (Scotland) so will test the A2 to the MAX. I will update with results.
