sun absolutely interferes. When my shades are open at home and the sun shines on the tv, my remote will barely work. I have the same issue with my gentled. I need to extend the wires enough to tape it over the sensor. I think thats the only real way to do it.

I wonder if you could find the pins on the board of a gopro and use that as a self powered converter? Or maybe that's not even what it uses. I dont know.

logically speaking the booms shouldnt make any difference other than the weight. If 4 motors can lift it then what is the question? You basically want to fly it as a qaud until you get a replacement esc? You will have to reconfigure the FC and software as a quad to do this.

I'm sure it would lift it no problem. But you would be stressing everything. The idea is to have twice the thrust as your payload. If you get above that you have less control, more heat, less airtime, and less buffer when you start to descend quickly.

Clearly MK has always won in the wind department. But that does not mean that DJI will or can do it. It may have to do with the tightly integrated hardware, i.e. bl's.

I feel like I have tried many combinations and it just wont do it. Flying in manual mode is the only way I see it possible. DJI just sucks with stability in wind.
