    Testing DJI 30A ESC's?

Swap two motors from opposite sides of your multi as suggested previously. If the problem moves with the motor position change, you then know the issue is with the motor or bullet connector ends. If the issue doesn't move with the motor swap, then the issue is with the ESC or the controller...

NAZA flying below freezing (0 C or 32F)??

I also live in Alberta, i.e., Calgary,Been flying Naza @ -5 to -9 deg C with no issues re: attitude or GPS. Where are you located and when/where did you get your WKM....? I tried to get one but gave up after 1/5 months due to US supplier delays in combo with factory recall....so I bought the...

NAZA flying below freezing (0 C or 32F)??

Naza specs indicate -10 deg C is OK while the WKM specs call for -5 deg C minimum. Internal pcb temperatures should be a couple of degrees higher than ambient when powered but wind chill effect can suck the heat away from everything when moving quickly. Keep in mind that temperature typically...

Configuring Gimbal servos for Naza M-GPS + Futaba 8FG Super

All issues resolved now...... It's much simpler than I realized. Just plug the gimbal servos into Naza ports F1 and F2! From section 5 of the manual, subsection 3. After adjusting the servo directions and centerpoints per section 5 (2) Gimbal set the F1 and F2 gains at 10 each and X1 Manual...

Using ECalc with F550 + Naza

I am trying to use eCalc for my F550 c/w Naza etc. While there are many motors to choose from, I do not see and entry for the DJI 550MOT motors. Is there an equivalent motor that I can select or a custom setting I can use for 920 rpm/volt?:cold...

Could I trouble one or more of you experienced pilots to help educate me a bit??

The voltage at the output terminals of a dc power supply or battery typically drops when the load is removed. RE: LEDs to use... check out the following to answer most of your questions. http://www.rc-cam.com/led_info.htm

Configuring Gimbal servos for Naza M-GPS + Futaba 8FG Super

I am about to test two servos for camera gimbal control on my F550 c/w Naza M-GPS including the V-sen to manage the electrical power distribution. I am looking for some direction as to the configuration of the hardware and the RC transmitter. I am using a R6208SB in FASST MLT2 configuration and...

Adding 2 servos to Naza using Futaba T8FG + s.bus

Thanks Kloner..... I am a bit confused about the necessity for the 10 amp BEC so I am going to repost with additional detailed information re: my RC and Naza which came c/w with the VU, i.e., V-sen voltage regulator/distributor. If of interest, please see my reposting which will be completed...

Adding 2 servos to Naza using Futaba T8FG + s.bus

Below is some first flight videos of my F550 c/w Naza GPS. Landing pad is a 4 x 4 foot corrugated plastic panel (landing pad) to protect the Hexacopter from snow! My stick handling is still a bit jerky.... But now I want to configure/add two servos for a camera. Once I get those working I will...

    Satellite Recall Updates

I think their recall was timely and the right thing to do..... a very professional company but something might be lacking in the dealer/reseller distribution systems which is US based for North America...i.e., US and Canada... IMHO..... just give it some time and be thankful you do not live up...

    Satellite Recall Updates

If these were computer products/components or car parts you would have your replacement parts already.... But this is a specialty area.....and China is a long ways away as is Germany for Mikrokopter parts. If you can deal with it.... be patient.... In my case I missed out on 6 weeks of...

Flight Controllers; The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

If you start out with a Flamewheel F550 c/w Naza GPS you will have a good starting platform that can later be expanded to take many additional features and can even upgrade the Naza GPS to the WooKong M GPS before you move up to an Octocopter such as the S800......... at which point the sky is...

Good day! I'm from Russia and I plan to build a big Gas Engine Multirotor, and..

It's a great idea but not without significant challenges. Have you considered the sluggish response time of a gas engine compared to an electric motor? Gas engines are notorious for changing speed slowly as compared to electric motors. Now if you could design a gas driven micro electric...

    Futaba to Naza connection question

RovGuy and Kloner.........Well..... there you go...... I knew some current had to move between the two...... but wasn't sure power through the back door, i.e., thru s or d.bus was what DJI-Innovations had in mind!!!! I tread cautiously!!!!

    GTX from Calgary Alberta Canada

Locally there is a strong preference for Spectrum products (an exceptional and user friendly radio system)..... but they don't offer D.bus or S.bus capability which DJI-Innovations takes full advantage of. DJI-Innovations is very forward thinking in this respect as the world will eventually...

    Futaba to Naza connection question

Kloner...... is it safe to assume that receiver is being powered by the s.bus and not the conventional Receiver power input receptacle? All I see is a 3 wire orange/brown/red D/S.bus serial link between the Naza and the Receiver........ Don't see a black and red wire anywhere......

    Futaba to Naza connection question

DesJardins.... But what about the power cable to the R6208SB Receiver? Should it come from the VU? Can I buy a power splitter cable to split the power between the GPS and the Receiver? A direct connection between the 4S battery and the Receiver will burn up the receiver....!!!!

    GTX from Calgary Alberta Canada

I recommend the FlameWheel F550 hexa c/w the DJI-Innovations Naza-GPS...... you can even buy motor arm extenders and increase the prop sizes a bit for heavier payloads..... within reason! I am now assembling a DJI-Naza c/w GPS on my FLameWheel F550 (hexa-frame). If you are moving forward in...
