    Best compact/folding frame?

On the CineTank I reviewed I took their advice and threw on sunnysky 1250kv motors with 8 & 9" props. That thing zipped around faster than I'd ever need it :). And it was fairly heavy at the time. I ended up going with slightly longer booms opening up the prop size, then grabbed some lower mc...

    Best compact/folding frame?

This really does look like an interesting choice. And +1 for supporting members, as well as USA businesses where appropriate. The CineTank is made here in the states too, and it was nice to help a fledgling domestic business get off the ground with a solid product.

Yes, its another Tarot 680 PRO build

If you find decent shape Power supplies on eBay you can do a 24V version for about $30. That's way cheaper than the PS I bought. But then you need to wire it up etc.

That's a pretty sweet looking design.

I haven't gotten a chance to test it yet, but I'm excited by the possibilities. Let us know how it goes Kilby.

Yes, its another Tarot 680 PRO build

+1 on the iChargers. Great units. Pumpkin is right. Get a good power supply, or even cheaper, make one from a couple server PS. Looking good - and great flight times I'm toasted after 10 minutes! :)

Please Help Guys - FPV Issue Out of No Where [Video Inside]

Did it somehow get switched from NTSC to PAL (or vice versa)?

    Best compact/folding frame?

If you are looking for a frame similar to the one you linked - I'd recommend taking a look at the CineTank. There is a review of V1 (V2 has some improvements) in the review section. Very cool build, similar in price to your other options and I have gotten great video with no gimbal - so the...

    FrSky/Taranis Owners Thread

Hey gang. Either the winter has been too long or my brain is just flat-out fried (ok, ok, probably both!). I can't for the life of me remember how to program one switch to trigger another - or latch as I think it may be called in the new openTX 2.x. I'm running the original Taranis on r2940...

Looking for help with Quad transmitter

HERE is the manual. That should get you started. I'm pretty sure you're wandering into a much older technology. Perhaps you should contract futaba directly and see what they say, in terms of compatible receivers. I'm afraid you may be back in hard to find, waiting for shipping territory now.

    Hello from Cyprus!

Welcome aboard! Sounds like you have some fun stuff on the way to a really nice place to fly. I'm jealous given the fact that the temperature is 2f where I am now. :) Let us know how it goes when you get your new rigs. Have fun and fly safe!

    Hello from Xiamen China

Hello there! Welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear about the issues you had with the Phantom. Do you have a new rig now? Working better for you? There is plenty to learn and share here at MRF, and the FPV style of flight is being actively pursued by many members. Make sure you ask any...

1st copter build (Tarot 680) - criticism needed

True. I think I've gotten to a point where I rule out a build very low flight times. If the efficiency is strained, as Eskil has mentioned, the flight times would likely be quite low. The flight times may be so low as to render the build more frustrating that not. Of course, this is just my...

    Finally I am here

That's not ugly! It's gorgeous in the best DIY way! :) I found this video that shows some thrust testing for those motors.

Looking for help with Quad transmitter

If you can borrow a radio/rx combo, that would be the best move right now. That will allow you to save for a decent setup and still get in the air quickly. I think you will appreciate a better radio in the long run. It seems you should be able to lift the the quad with the specs i could find...

Looking for help with Quad transmitter

I think it may be better to find a more current transmitter. At this point you're at $100 by the time you find a receiver. And that will take time for shipping anyway. Then you would have a radio that people are still using and can help you with - an active communities of users. If the budget...

    Investing in Multi-Rotor Heli Companies

I have just been thinking about this very subject, and then BAM! Bart has a thread about it :) Great topic. Will be very interesting to see which companies go public first. Exciting times in this quickly shifting industry.

Looking for help with Quad transmitter

First off, if you are going to mention how ugly it is, you NEED to show us pics :) As far as the transmitter, the first question is what exactly is the [broke] budget you have? And how much is the Walkera? It seems that the transmitter is quite old. I am sure that you'd be able to set it up...
