Blade Strike: For the benefit of the forum you should put in your signature that you work for DJI and Emprie Hobby so members understand you are posting in their favor using 2 accounts. This forum does not look favorably at having Shills or multiple accounts such as what you are doing.

4S battery and 8" props?

At that weight, use a 4S battery and the DJI 8" props. If it fly's unstable with that setup, there is something else wrong.

That won't work. DJI's X8 config turns all top rotors the same way and all bottom rotors the opposite way. Not only that, you cannot parallel 2 motors together as they operate off of AC

The NAZA-M has 8 channels and you can choose the X8 in the assistant. I use 8 ESC's and 8 motors. I sandwich 2 ESC's together and run 1 large pair of wire for power.

Hey Andrew... Yes, I spend some time here. This forum doesn't operate like RC Groups. edit: removed DJI reference as it isn't accurate anymore.

I never saw any change made to the ESC's just the wiring was changed from rigid to stranded in the arms.
