yes I experienced that also. also if i just yawed the copter while hovering the roll changed and will not level once I stop. It stays wherever the roll spot is and now thinks that is level unless I roll the copter left and right quickly then it goes to level ..

You may want to re-install the software, I am using win7 on my laptop and I have no crashing issues. I would not be to concerned about the monitor numbers moving around, computer chips have to think... as long as the tray is not moving what does it matter? I am shooting autos for my job today...

20 test flights yesterday... So far with 1.6 the major bug is is will NOT level itself all the time anymore, I never had this happen with 1.2. Sometimes if you take off BEFORE it sets it does have a tendancy to level itself more often but not always. Or if I do radical side to side and it...

I am not using the gimbal pan feature at this time. I can't help with testing that yet. well then , let me re-phrase that, I hope this "feature" is fixed soon, never had that "feature" with 1.2

first 4 minute flight with 1.6... much improved over the previous versions. I love that the tilt does not freak out anymore in non-slew mode and I can adjust the speed to do a camera move with one operator. default gains (roll) are a little slow for me ( now to tweaking) but so far so good...

DO NOT TUNE with the subtrim on the radio. yes have the radio off. Make your pots stop spinning with the manual controls in the skyline software. I have never tuned with the camera on the tray.. It will work, of course I just now saw that the new software is released so i will try mine tonight.

I use the 30amp dji esc's on my octo without any problems....I also use 4S batteries mostly 5800's... I am using avarto 2814 motors.

I suggest to search this thread, they indeed do have a center. I had the same problem you are having. You will see when you do the steps.. all of a sudden it will pause then depending on your input ..plus or minus will effect which way it turns. I am far from an expert but It worked for me ...

I think you are missing a step... You need to center your servos! Lossen the tilt and roll servos get the gear and the belt so they do NOT control anything. I di one at a time ... Now start the skyline.. Go to the gain screen and move the gains ( usually minus) on which ever servo you are...
