I use plush turnigy 40A ESCs and I highly recommend them as well, they always work and never fail. I've yet to see one fail in many, many years of using them. I use them exclusively in everything, easy to program and worth getting the programming board for them too. FYI..

    So it begins....

Only if you happen to work in the mining industry and have a grudge to settle. Of course, nobody ever goes berserk. There's a fine line between toy and weapon here and there's some privacy concerns as well that are legitimate but the "hobby" should not be taken away. Think of all the dangerous...

    CBS Sunday Morning interview

Wow, thanks Terry! I love this hobby and I hope it is still around years from now. My main things is I don't want it to be illegal just to be illegal, let good upstanding people have a license or something if it's that much trouble. I'd prefer it stay free but there be some laws and rules based...

    Prop selection

I have almost the exact same setup only 750Kv turnigy NTM motors and 6 40 amp turnigy plush escs. My weight is around the same and I use 10x5 APC props and it flys perfect. You may want to go with a 10x4 or 10x3 since you have the faster motors.

Connect 10AWG battery cable to XT60 connector

I just tonight put XT60 connectors on my new Eagle Tree V4 150A elogger. The wires on that thing were HUGE, probably 6 or 8 gauge. If needed, I trim some wire off so that they fit snug in the connectors. If I can, I twist the wire to try to get it to slide into the XT60 hole and if you can do...

I guess it'd be like window tint or maybe decibels of your radio at 50 feet, both enforceable laws even if truly absurd. If "drones" really become and issue then cops will have the tools and resources to measure it I'm assuming. If this starts becoming a "national security issue" then watch out...

    So it begins....

Check local and state laws and the FCC, they should be able to tell you the mW you are "allowed" to transmit at without a licence. Generally those numbers are absurd, like 10mW for example. Some of the frequencies are prohibited as well, I believe 1.3Ghz in the USA is not permitted but don't...

And that my friend, is what the whole thing is about. The only way to bring Earth together and all human-beings to unite in harmoney is for aliens to attack :D

Futaba or Hitec or who?? Need HELP picking a radio to support GPS RETURN TO HOME NAZA

Oh ok, I had heard that the aircraft version had no ratchet action...doesn't matter honestly they are exactly the same radio.

    So it begins....

You can thank that idiot Ronald Reagan for Al Qaeda and arming the "rebels" of Afghanistan against Russia. They were called The Mujahideen before that, that is fact. Ronald Reagan met with the leaders of The Mujahideen and is quoted as saying, "These gentlemen are the moral equivalents of...

    Naza throttle stuck high!

With in-runners you can explode the internals by over-speeding them when there's no resistance. With outrunners you also need to avoid going over the ratings, amperage and rpm. If you do go over these you'll destroy the internals or burn up the windings. If you are careful, you'll be fine...now...

The laws are different when it comes to photography and FPV as they are not the same thing. First, FPV is not protected by Freedom of the Press or ANY Constitutional rights. You are not the press I'm assuming so you fall under "private citizen" laws. You cannot trespass and you cannot endanger...

    Naza throttle stuck high!

You should never spin your electric motors without resistance i.e. a prop on them, that being said be careful and it'll probably be fine just don't run them at full power with no load.

Futaba or Hitec or who?? Need HELP picking a radio to support GPS RETURN TO HOME NAZA

Dang! That's quite a radio you have there, let me know when you're gonna sell it lol j/k. Looks like there is lots of love for either Futaba or Spectrum which is cool I guess. Not much love for Hitec though, maybe because they're smaller? Oh well, I'm going to go ahead with the 8FG by Futaba...

Futaba or Hitec or who?? Need HELP picking a radio to support GPS RETURN TO HOME NAZA

Thanks for the advice! I was probably going to end up with the Futaba so that's good to know. I have no idea what S-bus is, can you give me a brief run down of what you can/can't do with it? What is it? I'll try to read about it as well.. Thanks again!

Futaba or Hitec or who?? Need HELP picking a radio to support GPS RETURN TO HOME NAZA

Very good that you noticed that but I use the H version specifically in airplane mode because in the H version you have the ratchet action on the throttle whereas the airplane version the throttle has no resistance. I, like probably most of us, are X heli pilots so we fall back on old habits I...

There are many, many laws on the books and they would follow under voyerisum protection laws and laws that protect your privacy while in your own home. Also there are many pending laws regarding "paparazzi" and the media. If you are peaking in someones window filming them, you go to jail and...

What about when you hold it and let someone spin up the props and motors, can you feel any vibrations? You may be able to hold one boom and feel to see if that's the "problem area" so to speak. Of course, please be CAREFUL KLONER!! :)

Exactly but this isn't England and we have something called The Bill of Rights that'll need to be followed as well. I'm MORE than happy to abide by Freedom of Speech as well as people's personal freedom and privacy. There are already laws to protect your privacy though so let's use those and...
