Matthew is wright :), your 550 wont like dirty air. when descending straight down - that is what you are flying thru, dirty air (prop wash). if you put it on a glide path of sorts, the 550 will come down much smoother. Good luck!

I have been using slow flys on 550 with much success and until pretty recently on the AD6 as well :) For the record - i have tried lots of different setups too - xoar and graup but i always somehow ended back up with the slow flys.

a flight sim would be a good idea. i have real flight 6.5 and it has several heli's and 1 multi rotor. the heli's are great training too. welcome to this forum, there is some super knowledgable people here willing to help.
