In looking at the HK site I found NUMEROUS people having these burn up while trying to feed power to the Cobra 2204/32 motors. Looks like I've got 8 ESCs that I cannot use for anything now.
I've always said "You don't save money by saving money". I figured these would be a good option and...
Yeah, that is exactly what I was thinking it was, but I cannot find any specific details. PLUS, as I was researching the whole "update firmware" deal, I've found numerous instances where they have melted down on initial power up and fried the motor they were attached to..
I'm on the fence...
All,
I'm building a Hex and just happened to notice that 4 of the 6 ESCs have a different "code" attached to the processor. Any idea what this is or what it means?
I'm flying numerous different Afro's, but in my other builds, they are all using the same "code", I've never noticed this before...
There are a few different ways to go about this. Let me start by saying "You don't save money by saving money"...
That out of the way:
I initially purchased a Boscam Transmitter & Receiver from hobbyking. (All of the FPV stuff can be stand-alone or integrated (IOSD, Antenna Tracker, etc))...
As far as a GoPro, you can look at the Mobius as an alternative. If you look at my videos on YouTube www.YouTube.com/coreyperez13 all the plane videos are shot with a Mobius, The ones with me recording the helicopter (align) are shot with the GoPro. I don't see a significant difference...
Most transmitters are, I would only think that a surface based version wouldn't and probably some weird non-brand versions may not work. If I remember correctly, you need 6 channels. I really run out of channels even with a 8channels receiver.
I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND, since this will be...
Sorry, I don't be able to answer that on mine, but my rule of thumb is I set my alarms to activate at 3.7 per cell. So that would make a difference with both 3 and 4 cell as far as total voltage. I've noticed a significant difference between motors as well. My DJI stuff flew perfectly with...
Looks like you have the "right size" battery, Provided you have weight correct. (Props/motors, etc)
When it won't lift (you said it had previously) what percentage charge is it?

It should hover about 50% throttle, if it takes more than that the craft is under powered or too heavy.
That battery seems a little small for me, I don't have a Naza manual in front of me, but it seems like they require a larger battery than that. I started with a 5000mAh 3S battery with mine...
I've done a backwards rotation on a motor (hex) and a wrong prop on a quad, both would lift (hex flew) and both had a solid/uncontrollable yaw.
This was after checking numerous times (on both) ensuring that everything was "right". It wasn't. I actually think it Was Scott (Motopreserve) that...
