Ok, mine is a Hexa and Fox222 has an Octo, does anyone know which entries should be the same. Or is there a link to find these numbers. SM

R you sure your inversion on the nick is correct?

How do you do a screen or window shot on a PC? I will fire my macbook up into windows and post a screen shot of my settings

dave,
when you have the screen on your monitor that you want to capture, hit control-print screen
then open any generic image editor like Microsoft Paint and hit control-V to paste it.
save it as a jpeg image, then check your work by opeing the jpeg in a picture editor like picassa. you may have to crop the image to remove large white areas around the screen capture.
save again and it's ready to be posted online.
give it a shot, it's pretty easy.

shaun,
once you have numbers that will keep your camera mount from malfunctioning, it's just a matter of flying and then viewing video to see how to adjust the settings. fly, adjust. fly, adjust. there really isn't any other way to do it since the settings depend on your machine, your camera and mount, how you fly, etc.
good luck,
bart

thanks guys, I have all working but my roll is reverse. Nick works fine. In mk tools I tried changing my roll to invert but it made no difference. any thoughts Shaun

sorry for the dumb suggestion but you did write it to the FC after you made the change in MK tool, right?

thanks I figured out what you were suggesting, did it and it all is good. thanks. One more question...does the servo always hum when turned on? Shaun

I have no manual control over the roll from the radio. Shaun

Do you have any spare channels?

What radio are you on?

If you have a spare channel and your radio has a trim tab or a rotary knob than you can assign the roll to that channel and trim/rotor knob.

does the servo always hum when turned on?
Most of the time

I have the JR 9503, I should have some spare channels.

I have Graupner MX22 which is basically the same as the JR but it has 12 channels. You can set a channel in switches and allocate it to one of the little black trim buttons with the + & - . assign one of these to a channel, in MKtools assign a poti to that channel then in roll assign the servo control to that poti ..

Had first flight with av200 camera mount. went well. Canon 7D is very heavy. I have been flying with gopro and a small sony it will take time to get comfortable with the Canon. Mount works well not impressed with the way the potimeter is secured to frame comes loose alot. Must be careful to make sure screws on camera base plate are very tight. There should be 2 per side. all in all happy with results. Shaun

that was all set up by quadrocopterus, would I have to do it again.

I am sure one of the guys using the same radio as you can talk you through it.. It is really simple on the Graupner which is a JR. Its defiantly worth doing so you can get your base plate spot on.

At least you have it working which is good.. Learning to fly with the extra weight will take a bit of time but you get used to it. you may want to set your throttle curve up. On the Graupner its under channel 1 curve.

I'm having another problem with the pro200 mount, the nut to hold the roll pot gets loose. The hole that the pot shaft goes through the frame is quite a bit larger than the shaft. When I try to tighten it it loosens after a few flights. The last flight could have been a crash but luckily I had the gopro on and not the 7d. anyone else had this problem and any solutions? thanks Shaun

Welcome to MultiRotorForums.com!!
shaun,
post some pics of the spot where the pot goes through the frame. i'm sure we can come up with something to make it right.
glad things are going well. i forgot to check in on this thread lately.

Welcome to MultiRotorForums.com!!
shaun,
i might be completely wrong but it looks like the hole is oversized to allow you to adjust the gear mesh. I'd cut a piece of 1/16" plywood to fit in that area and drill a hole to match the diameter of the roll pot. use a couple of really small dabs of epoxy to hold the plywood (not so much that it'll never come out but enough to keep it from shifting when it's assembled) and then assemble everything before the glue sets. the plywood will hold the lock washer and keep the position of the pot consistent.
you might get a few more ideas now that you have the pics posted but i'd think a layer of something on the inside will get it back together nice and tight. once you have it all worked out put a small dab of CA on the threads with a shot of kicker to cure it before it seeps under the nut too much.
hope that helps,
bart

Your right Bart the hole is oversized but it really should be a slot to allow the pot to go up and down. I'll try the thin plywood idea. thanks
