Hello !

With my WKM I have a very bad phenomenon :

It flies very stable.
But after a while after power up the LED flashes with 3 white flashes.
Taht means : bad attitude mode in the manual.
Can anybody explain what that really means and what is wrong ?

I cannot take off in that mode because the kopter want to flip backwards.

Please help.

Post a video Fritz, It will be much easier to see the problem for those that know...

Sorry but I cannot make a video at the moment.
There are just 3 white flashes telling me : bad attitude mode.
And nowhere is written what that means.
It is ridiculouse that in the manual the error is described, but not what it means and what causes the error.

This happens to me sometimes too. I take it to mean that the IMU has lost orientation or reference data, or is about to.

This can be caused by excessive vibration or weight/payload and abrupt maneuvering.

I simply go into a hover and wait until it resumes blinking.

Hope this helps.

Agreed. Vibration is the usual culpret, however, the imu needs to be rigidly fixed. I use a thin double sticky side rubber servo tape with excellent result. Props should all be finely balanced. Absolutely no loose wires knocking on the side or top of either the imu or the mcu.

If this is happening on the ground with motors not on, then I would seriously examine all my wiring.

If you could post some pics that would really help us out to find a solution.

Hello !

With your help I could solve the problem :

My oct is standing on 3 high legs.
When I connect the LIPO and do not take care, the octo is wabbling on his legs.
Then the 3 white flashes indicate what you wrote.
If I connect without wobbling everything is ok !

When the IMU is initialized it gets a reference value for stable, level hover. If its moving during this time, the value will be incorrect. It's critical you keep the octo as steady as possible!

Yes, this was my problem !

Fritz

I have to correct myself !

The problem is not solved.
After some examinations it seems to be a temperature problem of the WKM electronic.
Now it has 5 degrees centigrade outside.

When I take the copter from inside to outside and power up everything is ok.
After leaving the copter for a while outside and then power up the 3 white flashes are there.
If I then take the copter inside the flashes are still there.
After 10 minutes inside and power up again the 3 white flashes are gone.
I do not know what to do.

So it's really cold and the wookong doesn't like it? I dont know how to fix that one!!! Unless you install heatsinks to the ESC and sit the wookong on those heatsinks!
