Graupner Props on stock DJI-550 motors

Before my first flight, I'll be installing Graupner props on my DJI-550.

The prop bores need to be opened up to the 8MM size of the motor shafts.

A 5/16 drill should do the trick. 5/16= .312" and 8MM = .314" I have a small vise on my drill press to hold the prop in place while drilling, so as not to enlarge the hole off -center, trowing off the balance of the prop.

Any tips or advise about this drilling process?

I also have some star type lock washers which I'll add under the prop nuts. The washers look like the ones in the upper right on this photo:

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Aren't they already 8mm? It should be a direct fit and you shouldn't have to do anything. Also, I wouldn't put those lock washers under, they can't be good for the balance.
