Hi Folks,

I'm new on this forum and am trying to put together the av130 camera gymbal which is straightforward enough but I cannot for the life of me get the bearing off the tilt plate flywheel out of the old one. I'm wary of applying any great force onto it and as you will see from the picture there is no grub screw holding it in place but it wont budge.

Any help greatly recieved as I'm sure it cant be that difficult and I'm desperate to get the gymbal back on the copter.

I did contact photohigher in NZ through the e-mail address on their web-site but after 3 emails over a period of two weeks they havent bothered to respond which i think is pretty poor but I'm sure somebody on here will be kind enough to help.
Many thanks in advance

There is a grub screw on the other side that holds the pulley on the shaft. It's kind of hard to see but it's there, just look around the rim of the inner hub on the platform side of the pulley and you'll see the hole where it lives, take that out and the pulley will slide off easily.

Hi Nick I have sent this link to DW and PH. Hopefully you have sorted this with RTryders advice. None contact can be a real frustration.

Thank you Dave and Ken for the assistance.

Nick i appologise for the not replyin to your e-mail. I have checked the info at Photohigher email account but we dont have any email from you waiting there. one of the sales guys may have replied, i know from experiance some emails do get blocked, so we could have replied but it just did not get through to you. This is on excuse and i will talkt to my guys when they coming in.

With regards to the pulley - there is a small M3 grub screw holding the pulley on to the shaft. You need to losen it and then push the shaft out. Please be aware that where the grub scrw engaged the shaft it somtimes leaves a small mark which can grab when trying to push it out. so you may need to use a little force. If you support the back of the bearing and use a pin punch and a soft hammer you can lightely tap it out. Once it is out just run a needle file over the high spot.

Once I sussed out that the grub screw required an allen key rather than a screwdriver it was easy enough. The screw was sunk pretty far in making it impossible to see but I'm sorted now.
Thanks for help that folk kindly posted and I need to give myself a pat on the back that I had the patience to suss it out properly. The normal default response of increasing force usually ends up with me breaking whatever it is.

cheers

Hit there,

I'm onto the next bit of my puzzle with this gimbal. I have the repair all assembled and back on my ad-h 6 and the next job is to get it properly trimmed. I'm flying with the Wookong M flight controller.
When I connect the copter to the laptop, put the DX8 on ready to start the process as soon as I connect the power to the copter, the camera gimbal goes to the end of it's travel and the servo keeps going with the small wheel teeth biting into toothed camera gimbal track. I then have to disconnect the battery before it damages it. So I'm a bit stuck with what to do.
Any help greatly received.
All these great pictures around of the autumn trees etc I think will be gone by the time I finally get this sorted.

Many thanks

Nick

Nick you need to make sure the poti is centred. Search RTryders step by step AV130 set up guide on the forum.

Nick if you have the Pitch and Roll connected to F1 / F2 on the WKM make sure you have "HEX Rotor I" selected for the AD6 in the Motor Mixer of the WKM Assistant software. Otherwise a signal is going to the mount as if they were ESC's

Hope this helps.

Regards

Andrew

Did you get this resolved? I have a Wookong-M V2, and a AV130 as well mounted on a CarbonCore H6 950. I have the I6 configuration as well. However, when connecting the AV130 servos (Savox SH-1290MG) to F1 / F2, it constantly rotates. I removed the servo so it wouldn't damage the gearing. Any ideas how to fix this?

I got it all fixed and working well again and it was purely down to me not really understanding the set up tabs on the software properly. Once that had been done it was just a case of messing about with the numbers and centering the poti screw.
I'm not the most technically minded person so cant give you any advice on your problem but there's loads of folk on here who help out. This post is quite ols so perhaps starting a new one may be your best bet,

cheers

A much simpler solution: The AV130 I purchased for US distributor didn't have the roll potentiometer installed! I had no prior experience with gimbals, so didn't identify the issue until the folks at PhotoHigher sent me photos of what it *should* look like.
I'm waiting to hear from the distributor if they will send me the appropriate parts. Thanks for your reply!
