Balance Vs Payload

Hello.. Developed a couple questions: On a Gaui 500X with a Woo Kong Controller and GPS system everything flew great so far. I added a camera mount and after reloacting the battery the best I could found the quad is slightly nose heavy during a static balance check. Is this something I dial in/out via the transmitter trims OR connect to the PC and adjust the X, Y & Z for the controller??? The Pitch and Roll seem a little sluggish too - I suspect I increase the gains via the computer to increase sensitivity right ?? Appreciate any advice -

To get the best conditions you really need to have everything balanced before you dive into the software. If you're slightly nose heavy you'll be working those front motors alot more than the others. If you really can't get the precise balance it'll still fly by entering the correct X,Y and Z but it won't take the strain off those motors. I would stay away from the radio trims and work on CoG first

OK Bill - you inspired me to the it the right way. I ended up extending a platform on the rear lower plate to accomodate my 4000 mah battery. Practically the entire 5" battery is extended out the rear but she now balances darn near dead center. I feel better about this too. I increased my gains via the "PC to Programmer" for the pitch and roll to help give me a quicker response from the sticks. I also re-set all my Expo's on the transmitter back to zero - if I need more response I will program it from the PC to controller. Cant play any more today - time for work... Al ways tomm.. Thanks for the words of advice..

You should notice a real difference. Once you're 100% sure it's balanced in all axis', enter the correct x,y,and z in software. Go fly and if you get any drift, add or subtract a cm or two to your vertical axis. I found that I had to lower my CG in the software to lower than what was true and it's now rock solid. Then play with gains.....and lastly your expo :)

PS: My battery extends well out as well, but is needed
