The new YS-X6 from Zero UAV.

The list of standard features:</SPAN></SPAN>
- MC+IMU+GPS+LED+WIFI
- Ground Station Software</SPAN>(</SPAN>Supports Android and Apple</SPAN>)</SPAN></SPAN>
- Auto Takeoff/Go Home /Landing
- Real time Flight Status
- Gimbal Stabilization Lock with POI
- Low Voltage Protection Warning
- Click&Go</SPAN></SPAN>
- 4 Waypoint routing within 100m</SPAN></SPAN>

Everything the WKM can do for less, WIFI downlink included along with ground station software and waypoint capability, and just look at all those ports to connect things to. Seems to have a much better expansion capability than WKM or at the very least you should be able to use all of the functionality without having to resort to either SBUS or picking which functions you really need and forgetting about the rest because there aren't enough controller connections to use them all.

I should have one in my hands in a week or two, they're probably a couple months away from general availability in the USA as they're just starting to expand their market to outside China. From what I've heard so far Zero UAV is bigger and more well known than DJI in their home market, let's see if they can figure out how to do the same in foreign markets.

That's very interesting, Ken. Looks very promising, but I wonder why they would go with wi-fi for their downlink? Seems rather limited on the range. I would guess 100m is best case.

Can't wait to see more from this though. Maybe a little competition will kick DJI into gear!

This looks incredible except for the 4 waypoint within 100m limitation. For most of my work I need to fly at an altitude of 100m and easily over 100m horizontal distance. :upset: Hopefully this will change cause it looks great. Eager to hear your thoughts about it in the wind.

Welcome to MultiRotorForums.com!!
Man, I'm just tired of the hype. If it works, great, but let's see it work before we go making claims about what it can or can't do. It just gets old after a while.

What's the availability of pre-release units? How did you find out about it Ken?

Ever see the Discovery channel show Chasing Classic Cars? I'm going start one of my own named Chasing New Release Multirotor Flight Controllers where I follow every hint and Youtube lead that there is something new and worthy of taking a look at, from there it just all happens... ;)

Just to be clear this is not a freebie eval unit, I'm paying out my own $$$ to get one. I do see potential here, if not I wouldn't be shelling out that kind of $ on just another marketing hype, hope it actually works, flight controller, I remember the Lotus RC and Xaircraft fiascos all too well and thankfully I had no part in either. This unit looks very DJI like and it would not surprise me if there is either some cooperation between the two or engineers that jumped ship from one side for a better deal elsewhere involved in the design of one or both of these, not unheard of in the world of electronics by any means.

From what I've seen so far it works at least as well as a Wookong-M, hopefully better, I'll find out soon enough...

You know what they say, the bigger the better .... :) in this case it's true. They told me they have cramp more hardware in there for future expansion, they didn't tell me what though.

I knew that was coming...

Dimension:

MC = 61x92mm (no I am not joking)
IMU = (about 40x45mm) hard to get to it now.
Wifi = 4x65mm
GPS/Compass = 55x12mm

Just to recap, this feed live data down to your Android or Apple handheld device... thing like how many satellites, voltage, altitude, vector, direction... ect.

Particularly useful for those blessed with four arms and two heads, who can now realise their full potential and fly and gawp at data at the same time.

Now I see were the key software engineers of DJI have gone. Maybe this is the reason for no new firmware from DJI for a while.

I much rather have two heads and read the info on the display than wonder if I really did see white flashes.

There's something call GPS lock. You can always make a mount on top of the radio and mount your android/iphone there.

Hey guys,

So here's a short video of roll test hook up to my gimbal. After I upgraded the firmware, I just want to give it a try. But nothing is hook up, I just slap the quad on the mount and hold it with my hand, thing keep falling up, wire everywhere... so just a quick test... but it seem to work rather well. The tilt is not right yet, but nothing is mounted right...

Both roll and tilt can be control through CH 7-8.

The little shake at the end of the roll is probably because my roll max limit is 13-15degree each direction, since I tilt the aircraft more, it doesn't have enough to compensate.

IMO, the servo output is diffidently quick, I believe the roll correction was better than when I had my Hoverfly pro on this gimbal. (don't jump on me yet, I am not saying it work better than the HFP, just seem to work better with this gimbal gearing, ect.)
